ACADEMICS
• This is science fair weekend. I congratulate all students (and parents) for putting together such interesting projects. It takes a lot of time and effort, but this sort of extended project is an important glimpse into the future work that our children will be asked to do, and much more exemplary of 'real world' learning. Our middle schools teachers have worked hard the last few years to coordinate efforts and help give students cross-curricular support in understanding the expectations for science fair.
For next year, I am working with Notre Dame to get our school involved in the regional science and engineering fair. This is something we have wanted to do for several years. It is only fair to give some of our best projects the opportunity to move on to a higher level of competition.
• Eligibility dates of importance for 3rd Trimester:
-Warning: March 24
-Progress report/1st sanction: April 14
-2nd sanction: April 28
-3rd sanction: May 12
