We, the parents of St. Jude students, aim to provide financial and moral support to our faculty, as well as, provide resources to educate and lend support to students and their families.
The Home and School Association meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month @ 6:30pm regularly. All parents of children at St. Jude School are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Our HASA meeting for February was canceled due to weather. Our HASA meeting for March was held on the 9th. Following are the minutes from the meeting:
Treasurer's Report
Treasurer's report for January and February were submitted and approved. While expenses for Trivia Night are shown on February's report, the deposit will not show until next month's report. Treasure is waiting for the total amount of Scrip purchased for Catholic Schools week. The teachers have given thank you gifts to the chairs of Catholic Schools week events.
Secretary Report
Secretary's report from January was submitted and approved.
Principal's Report
Mr. Donndelinger reported that there is a team meeting in the next few days to tour the playground and assess needs and improvement options. Details and estimates will follow. Some possible issues to address are: repair backstop, repair swings, structural integrity of equipment, new mulch or wood chips, rehab volleyball court, add a bike rack. Looking towards the future, Mr. Donndelinger would like HASA to consider assisting with upgrading the computer lab, getting smart boards for remaining classrooms, or contributing to financial aid.
Market Day
At our sale February 13, 2010, we had 39 customers and earned a total of $233.98. We have raised $1,296.94 so far this school year. Place two orders of $40 each between February and April, then place a third order of $40 in May to receive a free Mite "N" Mighty Stool at the May sale pickup. Cutoff for March orders was March 8th at 11:00p.m. March sale pick up is Saturday, March 13th between 9:00a.m. and 10:00a.m. Place future Internet orders at

Trivia Night
Trivia Night was a success with a projected profit of $6599.94. This year's event was the largest we've ever had with 32 tables! There was a good mix of families from current and former students. Discussion for next year's event included if doing 32 tables again is possible, establishing a waiting list for tables, possibility of a larger venue, giving prizes to top three tables, separating check in from drink ticket sales, adding wine to bar, timing of next year's event, adding a second event.
Kindergarten Open House
Kindergarten open house went smoothly. Nine families attended. Kindergarten round up is in May so continue to encourage family and friends to explore St. Jude School as an option.
Burger King Coupon Sales
The BK Coupon Books are almost sold out. There are still a couple dozen left in the office.
Upcoming Events
HASA Elections: Forms will be sent home requesting nominations. Please consider serving the school as a HASA board member. Elections will be held in April.
Fiddler on the Roof Musical: April 14th and 15th. Help is needed for sets and more! Contact Mr. Donndelinger to volunteer.
Open House: April 18th
Race for Education: Packets are targeted to go home March 17th, so watch your green folders. This year the school will be doing an Alumni mailing to seek sponsors.
